hair loss
I had surgery September 10 and have lost 99 pounds to date....BUT I am also loosing hair...A LOT. I am taking the multivitamin daily, I generally get between 60 and 65 grams of protein a day, I recently started Vitamin D and Biotin and I now use Nioxin Shampoo and scalp treatments. Any suggestions? When I spoke with the Dr. she said it would take care of it's self but that was a month ago and it is still coming out. Praise God I had thick hair to begin with or I would be in real trouble. Really appreciate your help and suggestions. Thank you

Google Telogen Effluvium.
Hair has a programmed life cycle, whi*****ludes the growth phase, resting phase and shedding phase. An extremely stressful event, such as surgery, can affect the hair cycle and force more hair toward the shedding phase. Hair loss usually becomes evident three to six months after a physical trauma. Just keep getting that protein in ( I would shoot for 80 gms) and your hair will start to grow back at around 9 months.
Biotin and Nioxin will not help with the hair loss. Save your money. Biotin has been notorious for growing hair in places you don't want it....like your upper lip.
