Jazzercise versus Curves....

I checked both of these out and have pros and cons on both. Jazzercise seems so fun because it's dancing, but it's an hour long, versus Curves being 30 minutes in length. Need comments on people involved in either one of these please.

I am not involved but someone told me that at curves you do the same things over and over again? not sure though since I dont belong and am not going to lol. I am taking over a friends membership at golds gym. but my surgeon told me last friday to do aerobics! so maybe I'd lean toward the jazzercise! just my opinion and believe me I am no expert! hugs and good luck

I have done both. I love Jazzercise but didn't like that I had to be there on their schedule. If the center you have has a flexible schedule that fits your schedule, then it would be my choice. Curves' advantage is when you show up, you start your work out. You alternate between a machine that works a particular muscle group and then to a platform to walk/jog in place. After you have done your rotations, you're done. I am currently using Curves but when my one year membership runs out in June, I will be looking for a full service gym. I feel I have outgrown the Curves workout. HTH, Annette

I tried both, and I loved Jazzercise. It is much more exciting than going aorund in a circle everyday doing the same routine. A portion of Jazzercise is weights and the other is dancing. There is also some stretching at the end. It is a great workout and if they were offering it nearby, I would take it again in a heartbeat! You can try a Jazzercise Class for $5 and you can go to Curves for a week for free, I think. Good Luck.

I haven't done Jazzercise, so I can't comment on it. I did Curves for a year, but that's all I could handle. It's very repetitious and I didn't feel like I got a very good workout. A full gym offers much more. Having said that, I don't regret the time I spent there - its a good starting point if you're not exercising at all! Janet
