Do you think that I could use slimfast to make protein balls? I have some left over from prior to surgery, and am sick of drinking it, so thought maybe I could use it to make those protein balls I keep seeing the recipe for? Or does anyone else have a suggestion of what to do with the slimfast? Susanna

Susanna, THe protein balls require powdered protein. Not sure how you'd use liquid protein. MOM

Slimfast also comes in a powder.

I had left over vanilla protein powder from Weigh****chers and I used it, they turned out fine. You do need to use powder, not liquid.

1 c oatmeal dry 1 c protein powder (chocolate or vanilla, your choice) 1 c peanut butter ( I use Skippy super chunk, for my dh I use creamy) 3/4 c honey (you can buy SF honey at Walmart or Target) I find that you need 1 cup SF honey because it is not as fluid as regular honey so you need more. Some people like to use SF maple syrup, I believe the amount is 1/2 c. Mix it all with a spoon, it is sort of hard and takes a little while. Take a small amount in your hands and roll into a ball. Some people say to make them into a ball the size of a ping pong but I make them smaller. Put them in a container with a layer of wax paper in between the layers and refridgerate. You will need to keep them in the fridge or they will get real mushy and sort of liquify and flatten out.
