Good Monday Morning everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend...Saturday the kids and I went out and did some shopping and found a few cute x-mas gifts. Yesterday Todd told me to go out shopping by myself so I could have some alone time. I must say, it was nice to get away and clear my head for a little while! Then I came home and we watched the last NASCAR race...and might I add...our man Tony Stewart won the 2005 season...WOOHOO, I know most of you could care less but I had to get that in there! BTW, sorry about not doing getting to know you on Friday. My son woke up sick and I had to keep him home from school. Ended up being drainage from his allergies rather than the flu (the drainage makes him sick to his stomach sometimes.)...thank goodness, that's that last thing we need is the stomach flu running through our house at Thanksgiving! Ok, here are the 5 for today, and they are going to have a Thanksgiving theme...Have fun! 1. Are you going to be traveling for Thanksgiving? Where are you going? Yes we will be, we are going to my parents house in Michigan. 2. How many people will be at your Thanksgiving dinner? 20 3. Do you actually LIKE turkey? What is your favorite Thanksgiving dish? but that's whats for dinner so I eat it. My favorite is broccoli casserole, and the cauliflower and broccoli salad. 4. Are there any of your family members that you dread seeing on the holidays because they're annoying or you don't get along with them? Nope, we are very lucky, we all get along great! We do have some oddballs, but they are never there on the holidays! 5. And least but not least, what will you be most Thankful for this year? Well I would definately have to say WLS of course. It was this time last year that I was getting very close to surgery. At Thanksgiving I thought my surgery was going to be the beginning of Dec. so this time of year brings back alot of memories about my surgery. Of course I am Thankful for my family and all that God has blessed us with. I am Thankful that my parents new store is almost done so that we will hopefully be able to move back to Michigan soon. I could go on and on....but I won't, for your sake... There they are...Have fun guys! Marcy

1. Are you going to be traveling for Thanksgiving? Not this year. We're having dinner at my house with my husband's family and then going over to my mom's for dessert. I can't wait to see my nieces 2. How many people will be at your Thanksgiving dinner? About 8 here and around 15 at my mom's. 3. Do you actually LIKE turkey? It's okay, but not really my favorite. I'd prefer chicken. What is your favorite Thanksgiving dish? Stuffing!! 4. Are there any of your family members that you dread seeing on the holidays because they're annoying or you don't get along with them? No, I'm very lucky to have a close family. We have our disagreements, but we're still very close. 5. And least but not least, what will you be most Thankful for this year? My family, my recovery from severe depression, and my wls. I'm also thankful for the time that I had with a dear friend who passed away last weekend.

Good Morning Carol, I'm sorry to hear about your friend. That must have been so hard. But it's great to hear that you have recovered from depression. That's such a difficult thing to go through. It sounds like you have alot to be Thankful for! Marcy

And least but not least, what will you be most Thankful for this year? I too am thankful for my surgery. But, I'm also so terribly thankful for the support I've had from my family and friends. Hello Marcy. 1. We are going to NYC to the Macy's thanksgiving day parade. Travelling by train from Connecticut to New York. 2. My boyfriends mom made Thanksgiving dinner on this past Sunday since we were going away and my boyfriends brother has to work. There were 7 people and one very happy dog. I think Armani ate the most. lol 3. Yes I like turkey, although I never make it only chicken (even for Thanksgiving) and my favourite dish is either stuffing or cranberry sauce. I had a little of each on Sunday, they were both good. 4. Well the truth be told the reason for the trip to NYC is my boyfriend is dreading seeing a cousin of his who was released from prison this year. The guy held up a donut shop and hit an elderly womyn when he was leaving. He spent almost 10 years in jail for this among other stupid crimes. My boyfriend will not be in the same room with him, so we decided to skip this years meal at his Aunts. 5. I am thankful for my surgery, for my son and for my boyfriend. I have had a very trying year with my son, and he is my only remaining family. I hope things get better in the coming year, I want to see him happy and successful. I love my boyfriend more then words can express, hes been there for me through everything. Even when we broke up for a few weeks he was still there for me, silly man thinkining he wasn't good enough for me.......And of course my surgery that helped regain my health. Have a wonderful Turkey day everyone. Hugs Heidi

I know how you feel about your Son in Law...We have a family member that's alot like that. Says odd things and loves to debate, she gets very dramatic and intense if you disagree with anything she says....Just have to keep looking at the good things about them. I also wanted to take the time to thank you for replying to this thread nearly every single day. I love reading your replies! Marcy
