1. Beautiful kid!

2. My intuition, (and I'm NEVER wrong) is telling me you're holding back...lol

3. Thank you for showing everyone what honesty to oneself looks like. It might save more people than you'll ever know.

If you ever see a post from me with no gif's, then you KNOW I'm holding back ;)

Egads, this is where I am right now.

Pregnancy has made me nauseous, almost daily, so I too have been eating foods that appeal (carbs) and will stay down.  Plus, to make matters worse, I feel I have lost all satiety and restriction.  I think to myself, "I never would have been able to eat this much a few months ago..." and hope the restriction comes back after the birth.

I caught a glimpse of myself in a store window today and wanted to cry.

I need to try harder to eat properly now, or I feel I will be a lost cause after the birth.  Nine months of poor habits could easily never end.

Thanks for the post, Julie.

My OB had a good perspective about it. She said, "you're growing this baby for nine months. You have the rest of your life afterwards to keep working on the weight thing." And she was totally right. If peanut butter sandwiches were what I needed to keep up my energy for baby-growing and keep my sanity? It's not the worst thing in the world, and a healthy baby is the #1 most important thing.

If you want, PM and I'll send you my cell number. I don't go back to wor****il the 1st and I'd be happy to text :)

I think you've had a great perspective on your weight gain from the very start.  I remember you saying, "I lost xxxlbs once; I can lose 40 again."  I've been trying to repeat that mantra to myself.  I'm just having a hard time believing it.

Great Post. Especially since I am a newbie to the VSG life. I applaud you.

Great post Julie......

I've been having problems too.  Thought I had slayed The Carb Monster, but it keeps rearing its ugly head.  It's a forever battle!

The carb monster doesn't die. It can only be lured to slumber.

It also likes to stealthy wait, hide, and jump out at you at the worst times.

Thank you for this.  I know I've been feeling ****y lately, and I'm not out of the honeymoon yet.  I need to keep my head in the game.

You are  a role model - and if you only gained 30 pounds during your pregnancy, I am confident that you will be lose them - you have a baby to stay around for!!
