How to handle temptation - the Al Roker Way

As many of you know, Al Roker had bypass surgery, and although he gained some weight back, he got back on track, wrote a book about it.
I saw the Today Show this morning and they brought out these foot tall deserts and put them in front of them. Al just plays with his spoon with this funny look (I interpret it as a WTF look). I don't think even tasted it. See the clip above.
If Al can do it, so can anyone!! Al is a WLS hero.

Wow...good for him!
Those were absolutely ridiculous milkshakes. They didn't even really look appetizing to me.
I woke up in between a memory and a dream...

He does that all the time. Sometimes he takes a bite or maybe two at the most of whatever it is they are cooking. Those things were ridiculous!!

I don't usually watch it but he was so funny looking at them and wondering what he was supposed to do with it. He just left it there - so no matter who puts what under our noses, we can chose not to eat it.

Way to go Al!

Al Roker is one of my WLS hero's. I remember reading a story about him having a bathroom accident at a presidential dinner. This story has stuck with me throughout the process, and has been a strong motivator for not tempting fate and eating off plan. I had two months of my own bathroom issues, which have thankfully resolved themselves, but I figure if a public figure can have these problems after surgery why should I be special ;)
Thanks for sharing that. i was thinking last night about my future revision and changes I feel i need to make for myself based on the information I've gathered about myself and food. One of the things I'm thinking about is simply abstaining from my sugar addiction. I feel like for me moderation is a method I've struggled with my whole life and I'm on the loosing end of the stick. So just stopping may be the way I deal with this.
