I was APPROVED!!
My insurance company just called me to let me know I was approved for the surgery and they show me scheduled for 2/1/16. They said I need to call my Surgeon to confirm but that's what they show in their systems.
I am so happy and nervous, I want to puke. Is this real life? Is this happening? My mind is spinning and I don't know where to start to prepare...FMLA...Short Term Disability...Blood tests...
I am too excite to think clearly..

Good for you! Hope your next call is to your surgeon to get everything set up. It might already be - my surgeon could not get approved until he had the date.

Congratulations! I understand the feeling! I just got my surgery date yesterday - but I sure wi**** wasn't so far away! Call your surgeon, they'll tell you what's next.

I spoke to the Scheduler and was told that 2/1/16 is actually NOT my surgery date. They have to provide a date to the INS. company to get a faster approval. I have to go get my Chest X-Ray and Labs done and THEN they schedule my surgery. She said my surgeon is currently setting up surgeries for early to mid March so the sooner I get the test done, the sooner I can get set up.
So, its gonna be March. Gotta admit I am a bit relieved. Feb. 1st made my heart want to explode. Lol
Yeah, that's the way it always works. There is a lot of schedule juggling with the surgeon, anesthesiologist, OR, hospital room, preop meetings and tests, paperwork signing, etc.
It will be here before you know it. Use the time well, it will help afterward.
