I live on a 5 acres in the middle of the Tahuya National forest in WA. state. I walk through ancient forest everyday for exercise. In this thick forest of thousands of trees, there is one tree that most definitely stands out. It's not only taller than any other tree in the entire forest, It stands at a 14` angle perpendicular to the ground. It has been frozen in a half standing- half falling posture for it's approximately 325 year life.
It dominates the ground around it's base for a hundred foot radius with it's roots, nothing else dare grow near it. It dominates the forest canopy also, claiming enough space to accommodate 20 trees. It is a beast among the trees.  I somehow relate to and converse with this tree.

There is a deep desire of us to be accepted amongst our peers, after a lifetime of a dysfunctional relationship with energy. Getting this under control was paramount to fixing all of the other associated things also. This place has a million great stories. But mine revolve around some very important people to my journey. And I see them doing this for other new people as well, it is humbling. These mentors have been my inspiration: White Dove, Hala, Grim, Kat ,T is hagalicious, Kim the brit, and geek monstrum. There are MANY more here. But these are mine.

Thank You for helping me gather the tools that might save my life. You are a blessing to me and my family.

That's very kind of you, Gary    I can't speak for everyone you listed, but I know we all feel that you are on the right track for success.  I'm glad you found OH and hope you'll stick around.  Watching people's progress is highly motivating for everyone here.

Gaudeo te here. Because honestatem dignitatemque es mues ventus lineamentum est in populo.

I love knives with sharp edges. Always have, always will. You were my Mentor for months before I even asked. I'm glad you're a friend also.

Just to let you know, I should be at the front of that list  - the people on it will get that joke.

Thank you for the shout out - it's good to know we have some influence on here and don't just **** people off lol.   As I wrote to someone else today, almost all people who take the time to stick around, have people's best interests at heart.  Some of us have a more straight forward delivery, but underneath that are people who love to see our fellow WLS'ers being successful and not making the mistakes we have either made ourselves, or have seen on here over and over.

It's good to have some extra testosterone on here, poor Grim can only do so much to keep the oestrogen from complete dominance!

You were the first person I asked to be my friend, because I read responses of your's to others, and it was what I knew I wanted my journey to feel like. Imagine all of us people you have helped, and it feels weird NOT to Thank you as often as we can.

I know that pot is legal there as well, I was wondering what it might be like for this horrible pain in my hip and leg. I was cleared to, and tried it. DO NOT EVER DO THIS KIM!!! WORST IDEA EVER!!!

I have been known to mellow out now and then    but you know?  Once they make it legal it takes away all the fun!!!

I have pot I bought over 2 years ago, in the first rush of legal excitement, still in my kitchen cupboard lol.  Guess it's well past it's sell by date

You'll have to share your story one day ...

Gary I use it occasionally for my knee and shoulder pain mostly in the Summer when I know I will be outside doing things just in case the munchies want to set in, but the stuff I get works on the body and doesn't give you the head high like most strains do so no real desire to eat from it.  There are hundreds of different strains it all depends on what you want out of it.

You are a much needed and welcome new voice here on the boards.  Even though we haven't exchanged anything yet to date, I just wanted to shout out that I am thrilled you are here and and happy to see that those you mentioned I consider friends.  I don't think you could have chosen a better group of mentors for your WL journey.

I also must admit, that your slice of forrest and the big O so close to your door step make me a little jealous and homesick for Oregon.

Thank you. I love Oregon almost as much as here. I have definately seen stuff you've advised people about. It's always great, always upbeat and positive. I find your advice to be valuable and living in Belgium.is super exotic. Can't wait to read the book you and Kat produce together.

Aww shucks, thanks Gary!  The people you named are pretty cool & helped me & continue to help me as I progress. So while I'm still a newbie I do like to help & give back to the community that has helped me when I was new & full of doubts & questions. These guys have seen the same questions over n over & they answer over n over. Wisdom & patience, pretty cool.

Yes there are many more! Kat W, ****ro PhD, SparkleKitty, Tracy D, Hollykim , Julia has her life back, MaChick, Iluvravens, Chilipepper ,Hislady, are a few that come to mind & of course All hail the Queen Kim (USA & Brit).

Peace to you & your family Gary.
