Yup you're experiencing the three week stall and hormone dump being released from our fat cells :-). All of this is temporary!

I know its easier said than done but don't sweat it or let it get you down especially this early.  When you have these moments just remind yourself that nobody has ever had WLS and stopped losing weight after 3 weeks.  Keep doing what you're doing and you'll be fine and one day soon you'll get on the scale and be 3 pounds lighter than the day before and wonder how you lost 3 pounds in a day.

Surgery date: 2/4/15

I know it is hard. I almost had a breakdown once 1 week out because my DH and mother ate chickfil a in front of me in the car.

I only lost 13 pounds the first month, probably because I lost 52 before surgery.

Don't be discouraged, it will come off- stick to your plan.

I don't really have any advice beyond what others have said because I'm a newbie myself, but I wanted to say hi and that we're surgery buddies! Today marks exactly three weeks since I had my surgery too!

9 tablespoons a DAY??? Girl, you're starving yourself! Your ticker says you had the DS, and you've got to FEED that thing!

Pureed food is generally pretty crappy. What, specifically, are you eating, and how often? How many grams of protein, fat, and carbs? Most DSers eat small, frequent meals---about every 2-3 hours, all day long. At three weeks out I know you can't eat much, but you should be focused on getting a minimum of 30 grams of protein a day by the time you're 30 days out, 60 grams by 60 days, 90 grams by 90 days, on up till you reach what YOUR individual body needs. (And it changes over time.)

I suggest you join some of the DS-specific groups on Facebook and get some DS-specific 'diet' advice. The DS is really NOT like other forms of WLS.

Hi! You're not the first person tell me this. However my doctors office has me eat 3, 3 tablespoon meals 3 times a day and in between them drink protein shakes. I've recently been able to add in like bocca burger products and morning star products, and I eat like half of one of those for a meal. I'm 4 weeks tomorrow and I'm supposed to be getting 90 grams of protein according to my doctor but I average about 75 as of now. I'm assuming when I can eat more I can get more in. I have my month visit this Friday and I believe that is when they start adding in foods.

I will definitley check out those groups on Facebook. Thank you!
