Boudoir Photography
Ok so call me crazy but a few days ago I did a boudoir photo shoot pre-surgery. It is something I have always wanted to do but, always told myself "when i'm smaller, thinner, at my goal weight. When i'm more pretty, less curves, no blemishes" blah blah blah. Through my weight loss journey one thing that I have learned is to love myself and to treat myself with respect. I still have a long weigh to go but as my confidence in myself has increased the stronger I have become. I don't want to wait to do things any more. Tomorrow is not guaranteed and I don't want to spend my whole life waiting to pursue things I have wanted.
So doing this pre-surgery has given me so much empowerment and personal encouragement. I also look forward to do this again in 1-2 years.
What have others done before surgery to prepare, celebrate, or boost confidence?
T-minus 24 hours till surgery!
I actually did a boudoir photoshoot as well. I did it after having my first round of plastics and it did make me feel good about myself. I didn't have a lot of confidence and struggle with self esteem at times, but it was as fun thing to do! Kudos for you for putting yourself out there. This is a way I celebrated.
I bought a goal dress awhile back and was thrilled when I could fit into it. I started wearing my hair down more often, wearing makeup, having my hair professional done, etc. The little things that made me feel like every other woman (and what I was missing out on) when I wasn't taking care of myself. Some people consider it vain, but looking your best can often times help you feel your best, in my opinion.
