While losing weight what body part/s freaked you out the most?
NO, I didn't get that nuts, I would be afraid my female parts would fall out I was told that was the best way to get your body fat down and when you talk to a PS he/she will tell you when they remove the skin the best way to get you as small as possible is for you to have low body fat. It was fun and I wish I could have kept it up. I still do weights but not like that. Don't have the time and can't afford it.
You're biking is the best for cardio and as you said both is a good mix. Check out garage sales and pick up one of those weight sets where you can add different weights as you get stronger. They have great workouts you can do on the TV or youtube. Keep it going girl! You are doing GREAT!

T Brooklyn,
Yes waiting will be great until u lose everything you want. I see you have alot of options already depending on what you get and how much is all up to u. I paid half in cash and half on the that cosmetic credit card i applied for it at the docs office approved in 24 hours..i payed in total 15000 but like i said this was back in 2003 and in NEW YORK and i had lipo in arms back upper and lower stomach inner and outer thighs (but if i knew someone in the dominican republic )icould've
gotten all of this probably for 5 to 6 thousand in total including airfare lol but im happy and i have absolutely no regrets.
Are you almost to goal weight?
Good Luck with your decision and if you choose to do PS always research research research the doctors.
I'm getting close to goal. I figure I should be there by summer time. I just picked a number based off the bmi charts. My surgeon is pretty happy with where I am now, he wanted me to be in the 180's. I'm on the very high side of that, but I know I can keep going, so I'll see once summer/when my goal is reached. I might revise to a lower one.
I do want to stay at goal/under for a year at least & see how maintenance goes, which I've heard is a whole different kind of game all together. So I'll wait n see. I also wanted to work on toning & get those weights in during that year b4 plastics. I also wanted to get one of those bod pod tests. I don't want everything to be tied to a number on the scale. Trying to take an overall approach to things.

My sternum . . . . I didn't know I had one!!!

I was going to say the same thing! I've always thought it was weird that my husband's sternum sticks out, and now mine does too. I keep feeling it and my collar bones, because I've never felt them before.
5' 5" tall. VSG on August 4, 2015/ Starting weight 239.9/ Surgery weight 210.9/ Current weight 137.4/ Goal weight 140/ No longer overweight, now a NORMAL weight. Now that I'm at goal, it's time to move on to maintenance!!!!!!!!
I hadn't really thought about it much until I saw a picture of myself but my knees are really saggy... all that thigh skin is just drooping down around my knees! I expected my tummy and arms, but never did I think about my legs being like that! HAHA!! I'm wearing it all like a badge of honor at this point. I still have a ways to go before I hit my ultimate goal, then don't have any idea if I'll even be able to afford PS. I'll just have to keep wearing yoga pants or capri pants in the summer!
I've lost almost 200lbs and my feet are the same size... skinnier but just as long. I wear a size 12 so I was really hoping they would get smaller...oh well. So some shoes are big, but that is because of the width...
Having a sternum feels weird, and being able to feel my ribs... I don't have much of a shape anymore... flat butt and everything. Hopefully I will get some contouring in that 'body contouring' surgery...

Congratulations on your amazing weight loss NYMom!
Be sure they do something for your butt. I had PS and the only thing we didn't think of was my butt. Its flat as a pancake and so bony. When I do exercises on the floor it hurts. I am in love with the padded bike shorts as it is the only way I can ride a bike and do floor exercises.
