I started to cry this morning.
Congratulations!! I too cried it was at my pre-op visit with my surgeon. Most of his staff were patients and I wanted what they had attained and it was just overwhelmingly emotional for me. The day I walked thru the hospital doors I realized my struggle would be over -- (although not entirely true it made me feel good to think that way) -- well that was in 2001!!! I lost 139 pounds and have maintained a "normal size" since then. My best piece of advice is to follow the program to a T!! Do exactly what your program requires of you -- the first year is the easiest to loose and with the help of your physicians and this group you have the tools to be successful!!
Nothing tastes as good as thin feels. The first time I could fit into normal clothes I spent three hours trying clothes on -- what is better is that I now buy things that look good not just clothes that I can get the zipper closed. I was going thru a size of clothes per month, and I really loved it that I could buy clothes in the normal size department. This will be your last large anything -- and that feels sooooooooooo good! I'm sending you my best wishes for a successful surgery and and outstanding recovery!! All the best!!!
Good for you! It was the best thing I ever did for myself! It is not as scarry as the preparation make it out to be!
