I started to cry this morning.
I know you must be super excited, just remember surgery is just the beginning. Remember to look at all aspects of this journey, especially the mental hurdles that we all go thru to some extent. Part of your post read that your ex was super wonderful yet he called you fat & implied no one would want you, that mental beat down over the years had to get to you, on top of the negativity you piled on top of yourself by calling yourself a cow & what not.
I think we as women always find some kind of flaw within ourselves to beat ourselves up with. First it'll be the fat, then the excess skin, etc, etc. It takes work to luv & accept yourself with flaws real/imagined. I hope you tackle the mental part of weight loss as well as the physical one.
Good Luck to you!

It's such an emotional journey. I am only 8 weeks post op and I imagine it will always be emotional.
I want to wish you the best on Friday. Soon (very soon!) you will be on the losers bench.
This is an amazing gift you are giving yourself.
