Hi all. New to forum. Had RNY Wed.  Released Thursday evening. Stayed with a family member last 2 nights. First night on my own.  Think I'm doing ok but feeling paranoid that something is wrong and I just don't know it.  I have an anxiety disorder so I'm sure that's it but I'm so paranoid about being alone tonight.

How are you doing? I know anxiety quite well, also- it's miserable. I think you're so brave having this surgery on your own! Keep some numbers close at hand and your phone charged, just so you can remind yourself that you can call for help...in the VERY RARE and unlikely case you need it. Be sure to take your anxiety meds if you have any-and rest is so important to keep the nerves down.

Thank you for the reassurance! I broke down and called someone to come over. Not ready to be alone!

I was just the oppposite. Being alone was easier than having someone hovering.

If nothing is wrong, you are completely normal.
