Snacks On A Plane...
Better than snakes. Ha.
I am traveling again this Friday and will need some easy grab and go snacks that I can throw in a bag and open on the plane. I always have cheese sticks, but any other suggestions? I looked at some of the protein bars available, but even the low sugar ones are packed with carbs. 17g is the lowest I could find.
Any suggestions? I'm open to things that take minimal preparation and obviously can be easily eaten on a plane.
Thanks in in advance, lovely people!

Jerky, nuts, Mr. Cheese O's. 17g of carbs is not too bad for a protein bar. I can never eat more than 1/2 of a protein bar at a time, so I am ok with eating the occasional protein bar that has at least as many grams of protein as carbs. If it has more carbs than protein, then it's not a protein bar. They are just so dense and dry that I can't imagine eating an entire bar at once.

Jerky, Quest bars, moon cheese (airport Starbucks carry these), greek yogurt, nuts (sparingly). Have fun!

I used to travel quite a bit and I always prepared my own snacks, so that I wouldn't have to eat the higher calorie ones provided. For me, I would do pepperoni crisps and string cheese crisps. Both are good cold or hot. I just put them into a zip lock baggie and go. Later on, I added small single serving bags of almonds to change things up and were easy to take on a plane.

How long is your flight? Unless it's over 6 hours, I wouldn't feel the need to pack snacks. I travel quite often.
I usually carry 30g of almonds and a Quest bar in a flavor I don't really prefer (that way I don't just eat it unless I really need something) in my purse for emergencies.

Ooooooo!! That is a good idea!! I need to do that. I tend to eat my protein bars when I am bored or just want something sweet.

LOL, yeah, I was doing the same thing.
I realized it was becoming a candy bar rather than an emergency food source. I get a gross flavor and that solves that!
