"Don't get too skinny"
I used to tell them that weight loss surgery has a Bounceback period where you regain about 20 pounds so I needed to lose enough weight to have a cushion for that regain. They never commented on being too thin after that and they definitely noticed when I did regain.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
"Thanks for your concern. My doctor is keeping a close eye on me." Period. End of discussion. If you talk about your surgery or weight loss at work, you give people permission to keep asking you questions.
The comments do stop eventually. But they will start up again if you regain so work hard not to

"May your choices reflect your hopes and not your fears."
See.... I'll be honest. I'm a nice person to those who are actually nice to me.
Someone said the same thing to me and I replied as though I was a Kindergarten teacher trying to teach Algebra. (And loud enough that others could hear me.)
"DDDDon't get too fat! DDDDDon't gain too much weight on me!"
They were, of course, taken aback, but then I said in a tone that let them know I wasn't going to put up with it.
"Now you know how foolish your statement sounds. I'm not losing weight for you. I'm losing weight to regain my health and my life. I don't need your opinion or approval. And if you thought you gave a compliment, you're wrong."
...And walked away.
They don't pay me enough to be nice.

"There's only us. There's only this... forget regret. Or life is yours to miss. No other road. No other way. No day but today."
Most times I bru**** off. I've heard things like Don't blow away on me & I say that's never gonna happen! I've heard No one likes bones but a dog, & I've said there's still plenty to hold onto! Then when someone asked how much more I wanted to lose & I said 50lbs, he screwed up his face & said I'll look like a crackhead. I said No, I won't look like that, I'll see when I get there.
Some people just don't know how to act, so they might say something stupid. I don't pay them any mind & just keep going. If anything you can tell them you're goal is to look like a bobblehead, then laugh in their face, or not.

It seems that most of us lose weight from the top down. By the time our thighs start to thin out our faces look like we've been starving.
Just take it as the compliment I am sure they meant it to be. If anyone gets real pushy on you just tell them that you are working with your doctor and he is pleased with your weight loss.
I had some get real pushy. I HAD lost too much weight but the comments by everyone, even total strangers, really got to me. One time I ran into someone I hadn't seen in a while and she ran up to me and grabbed me and almost started crying "What's wrong with you?". I think she thought I had cancer or something. Those things were hard because I didn't want to worry anyone. It's been 5 years now so I think they have figured out I'm not dying anytime soon.
Whatever you do, don't take the comments as an excuse to go hog wild. Many people were told they were getting too thin so they did something about it and lived to regret it. I was advised to go as low as I could but I don't think it was supposed to go quite that low. But when bounce back hits you'll be happy you allowed yourself that wiggle room.

You are lucky. I think fuller faces look younger. I spoke with a plastic surgeon once and he suggested fat injections in my face to look younger.
I think one of the reasons I don't look good is because my face is so drawn. My features look a lot softer when my face is fuller. Now it seems sharp and severe. That is why I want to gain some weight. My face makes me look old :(
