Does anyone have problems with certain foods? I'm almost a year past my surgery and I can never have any type of ice cream . Makes me so I'll I wanna gag. I've even tried sugar free. Maybe it's a blessing idk.

Sure. Most people have something they can't eat down the line.

Not uncommon;  I still find it difficult to eat any breads.  Makes it easy to desist!

You might want to focus on something else besides ice cream.  If you're looking for a treat, try greek yoghurt with fresh fruit and a sweetner.

Pre surgery, I was told (on multiple occassions) that ice cream was the one food that they (my doctor, nutritionist, etc) had NEVER seen anybody tolerate after surgery.  They all but guaranteed I'd never eat ice cream again.

I've seen plenty who eat ice cream. Lots of it. It might be the worst possible thing you can eat though. It could be your docs were just trying to scare people away.

Im not able to eat ice cream as well but what I have found is I am able to eat frozen greek yogurt and it is so much better for you than regular ice cream, has less sugar, along with the protein, and probiotics. You can find in the ice cream isle at the grocery store. I buy mine at Whole Foods. My favorite is Stoneyfields Oikos Organic Nonfat Greek Frozen Yogurt Blueberry.
