Alternative to NSAIDs
No, this is not an alternative to NSAID's. This IS an NSAID. It uses diclofenac which they clearly explain is an NSAID on the website.
Here it is explained how it works
You don't have to swallow the NSAIDS for them to be a problem. It is the drug itself that causes the issue NOT the method of ingestion. Are you taking a PPI while wearing this?
No you can't, huh? Seems odd for him to prescribe it with the warning on the website and all...
"FLECTOR Patch, like other NSAID medicines, can cause ulcers and bleeding in the stomach and intestines at any time during treatment. These can happen without symptoms..."
I actually didn't know that it didn't matter how you ingested it until I was post-op. That's the same time I realized I had never given pharmacists enough credit. Ever since they have been my best source of drug information. Apparently, I never realized that was their job...lol.
Not all of them as they can be like doctors and it'**** or miss. At the pharmacy I go to most often there is an older guy who is a bit of an ass but really knows what he is talking about and gives me links and documentation. The sweetest lady works a different shift and poor thing I think she must have barely made it out of school. Always triple check my bottles when I know she has filled the script. :-(
Still checking. Took post down.
No one gets things right all the time. If you leave the post up, you might really be helping someone else. Taking it down doesn't help at all.

I think I'll leave it as it is - I think there is enough info remaining and enough warnings. What do you think??
