"You've Always Been Beautiful"

So, I got to see a lot of people over the holiday that haven't seen me in many years and especially since my surgery. I wish I would have taken a picture of all their faces when they saw me and/or realized it was me.....it was PRICELESS!!! I even had one lady start crying when she saw me because she said I looked so happy.

I'm hearing this more and more now....."WOW....you are gorgeous. Don't get me wrong, you have always been beautiful but damn you are so gorgeous".

You know what....I will take it!!! I look in the mirror now and see a beautiful lady (inside and out) looking back with a big smile on her face. Not too bad for a 41 year old.

2016 is going to be one hell of a year for me!!!

It is sort of a back handed compliment isn't it.  I never did know how to take those, but what I like about being further out is everyone just knows you as who you are now, and you can get on with life.  So enjoy those kudos while they are flying!  I can see you are rockin the much desired full leather boots...

I now have a boot addiction....I have bought 5 pairs now that my legs will fit in them.

You are simply stunning, my dear!  I'm so glad that people are giving you positive feedback on the all the changes you've made.

Oh yes, you're gorgeous. Funny but I got very similar comments about being attractive when I was overweight too, but I never felt beautiful. I knew I was well dressed and the like, but couldn't see myself the way others saw me.  i think I couldn't accept how I looked physically because my size made my 'problem' so obvious. I could not hide it and I was ashamed of how I ate, maybe more so than how I looked.   Now I have different physical flaws (loose skin, no bum, etc.) but I'm able to accept them much more easily as part of who I love :-). 

That's is so great to hear and so encouraging! Good job on your hard work!

me on the other hand, it's been a long time since I have received compliments... I had lap band lost some weight but not much and have been gaining it back (currently in process of fulfilling ins requirements for revision) hoping I will get approved and will have this weight come off eventually. 

Funny how many compliments we get when we lose weight :)
