Would you regift baked items
Hi folks,
I have a great colleague whom I have never met. She works remotely but at Cinco de Mayo and Xmas she always seems to find a way to make sweet treats and bring them in to me and others that have helped her.
Today she has made trumpet, that crazy bread that only comes out at Xmas (raisin bread? Bread pudding? meat bread? fruit bread), gum drop cake and other sweet breads.
I KNOW this will kick me off the weight loss train. So I dont want to eat it
She packaged the sweet breads in a gorgeous santa gift bag and Xmas style saran wrap.
Alternatively, there is a very tired cleaning person who keep my office pristine (which is hard cuz I am a slob). Because she is a contractor, she doesnt get the other at work perks we do (like the office xmas party).
So my first question is: since these treats arrived today and are fresh..is it ok to take the gift tag off (and hence my name) and regift it to her?
Secondly, she speaks little English. Should I just say "For you?" What do I do if she asks me if I made it.
Help find a good way to save me from myself

I always re-gift baked goods -- and I tell the truth -- but in this case, with the language barrier -- I'd just say, "for you"

Of course it is! Give it to your neighbor or someone like that...you could even just put it on the porch at someone's house in your neighborhood if you like...or put it in your mailbox for your postal carrier. I would so do the same thing and if I bring home stuff like that, I will butter that bad boy up and go to town. Get rid of it before you go home!
Totally fine. And if you're asked if you made it, say a friend made them.
