Anything where you are bearing your own body weight is effective.  Walking, doing stairs or hills that you find outside, Walking Away the Pounds videos, resistance bands.  All of it will get you the same results as you would at a gym. 

The key is: CONSISTENCY.  If you are consistent then you will see changes in your body.  Not necessarily in your weight but in your strength, muscle tone and stamina.
