New to the site
Hello all. I am new to this site and am enjoying reading everyones comments about their experiences. I am scheduled to have my band to RNY revision surgery on January 6, 2016 and looking forward to a healthier lifestyle. I am currently on my 2 week all liquid protein diet. I have read that the first few days post surgery may really suck but is totally worth it. I will find out in a week....

Hello
I had my RNY last August. It was rough the first two days, but walking really helped with the discomfort. I still have all of my pain meds somewhere, so it wasn't too painful.
Being organized before I left was helpful also. My wife had pre-measured 2oz. cups of jello. Had s.f.popsicles and crystal light ready. It was an easy transition to make because of her support. The first 4 weeks was a test of will, then it got easier.
Okay, now I'm 268 as of this morning. I've lost about 118 pounds in 4 months. I get my 5000 steps a day in, 700 calories a day a that scale moves every damn day!
Welcome, it was a great choice for you to make. GOOD LUCK!
Welcome. Glad to have you here. Yeah, things sucked for a couple of days, but you can take anything for that long. It gets better each day.
The hungriest I ever got was those first couple of weeks postop. Just white knuckle it, and it gets much better after that.
You'll do great. I hope you stick around.

Hi & Welcome to the forum. Yeah the first few days after surgery does kinda suck, but I'm guessing it'll be a lot easier to what you have to put up with (hazardous material). Sorry its been awhile since I've seen anyone post with a name that's familiar to the industry that I know a little about.
Good Luck with surgery & hope you have a speedy recovery. Hope to see you around, will save a seat for you on the losers bench.

Welcome aboard man, glad to have ya! Lots of great people here. I've learned so much in the short time I've been a part of this community.
First few hours after surgery sucked. No way to sugar coat it. Get some pain meds in and as soon as you possibly can, get up and start walking off the trapped gas and get your blood flowing. You'll be amazed at how quickly it gets better after that.
Stick with it, it works. Good luck!
