Gross
I agree. I've been drinking the chocolate and vanilla Premier Protein shakes everyday since 8/5/15, usually only once a day. However, since my surgery I had to drink them twice a day. I'm still okay with the chocolate shakes but beginning this weekend I cannot choke down the vanilla shakes. Today I ordered Torani surgar free syrups to hopefully make the vanilla shake palatable to me once again.

Since I have gotten to the soft food stage I haven't been drinking the protein shakes! I am very careful to get my protein in without having to have one of those! I tried the strawberry Premier shakes, but I started having "dumping" of sorts! My face would get red hot! Like....almost a maroon color red! I haven't tried the other flavors of Premier yet. I have been getting this powder from GNC that is ok...for a protein shake lol
How are you getting 70-90 grams of protein in at this stage without using protein shakes? (I'm not criticizing, I'm seriously asking.) I am just under 13 weeks post-op and I can only eat 2oz of dense protein per meal. Most of the protein I eat only has 5-15g of protein for 2 ounces. I'd have to eat 5 meals a day to meet my minimum goal.
I try very hard to eat every 2 hours, a little bit at a time. Cheese sticks, Greek yogurt, protein bars, and I make a roast in the crock pot. I can eat a little roast all day and it's super soft and moist. It can be done! I HATE protein shakes and would much rather eat a protein bar worth 20g of protein than my 30g worth of protein in my shakes. A cheese stick is about 7g, Greek yogurt is about 12g, protein bar is 20g. I don't really have meals....I graze all day. The only real veggie I eat is spinach. I don't really bother with veggies at this stage.
That's just my journey, it may not work for everyone! I am single and don't really have to worry about anyone else but me! It's. Blessing and a curse haha :)
How did this post go from gross to kinky all in 1 day?, or maybe its just me. lol
Good luck in surgery, hope you have a speedy recovery.

I've never had Isopure so I wouldn't know but then I've never had the displeasure of tasting dirty feet either. I'll make a mental note that both should be avoided. thank you
