Clears Drinks
As most of you know I'm having my procedure done on Monday. From that point it's all clear liquids for a while. I'm looking for suggestions on what clear protein drinks you guys have tried and have liked. I know of Isopure.Any others?

Check on this with your center...I was informed at my 4 day post-op appointment that although I was on clear liquids, I could have been drinking my Premier Protein shakes. Protein is important during this time but getting all of your liquids in needs to be your first priority.
Get Unjury Chicken Soup (it's broth), that was my most palatable method of getting my protein. I had a problem with taste and texture, Isopure was just okay for me.

Same for me - 'milky' looking protein shakes were OK. I did 2 cans of 35gms a day plus more liquids. I stayed away from the mixes until later. Just personal preference. The premixed tasted better to me.

I'll be having surgery the day after yours. Believe it or not, my nutritionist instructed me to have regular Gatorade the day before surgery and the day after when I can go back on liquids.
From day 2 to day 20 after surgery, I'm back on the same diet as before surgery. Protein powder shakes, broths, sugar free jello, etc.
I've heard of people using Isopure or premixed shakes instead of the protein powder you mix up yourself, but I think it's more expensive.
Good luck on Monday!

Chicken stock, beef stock... A must IMO.. Getting enough sodium will help you stay hydrated and makes your veins nice and full.. Easy for them to access the day off. Plus all the sweet drinks can be offset by that.

The premixed Isopures are fantastic nutritionally. But I have yet to meet someone that doesn't think they taste like feet.

Exactly! To make things worse the hospital brought me packets of Beneprotein to mix into the bottles of Isopure. OMG, gag a maggot!

Anyone hear of Cytomax Pure Protein Performance? If so, thoughts on that?
