If water got rid of "extra cushion," nobody here would have had surgery.

Will coffee do the same thing? I just can't drink plain water...I can use decaff? How about herbal tea?

75% of arm mass is made up of water. The rest is muscle. If you want to get rid of that extra cushion, you should drink at least 8-12 glasses of water a day. water flushes the toxins out of your body.

I make sure to drink lots of water and work my arms more than any area of the body, be smart about your exercises though as you don't want to build too much bulk, unless thats your preference ;)

Water is the magic answer! But of course all results vary and it depends how well you can stick to drinking to much water. I struggle with it daily, trust me!

Thanks for the great laugh this morning!!  You are hilarious!

Water is the magic answer -- hilarious!!

Almost. But you couldn't pee yourself. Because you didn't drink enough water.

Great.  Now I have to change my pants again and drink more water so I don't get thigh skin.

Oh honey, no. Your skin grows with your body mass. Otherwise most peoples skin would be stretched tauntly over their skeleton just from growing fron child to adult. It does stretch some sure. We aren't pregnant long enough to start growing new skin to fit around the belly. So it stretches. And when you first gain weight, same thing.

But eventually your body has to start adding skin before you split open. If you are young and have great genes you will not have the issues that older WLS people have, true. Count your blessings for that.

I wish drinking all my fluids would take care of my extra skin. I'd be way hot now!

A few posts up you said you were kidding.

I'll pretend I didn't read that one and just reply normally : This is true. We cannot all be so lucky, unfortunately. For some of us water just keeps us alive and functioning with no added skin removal benefits. Perhaps one day they will unlock all the genetic secrets and others will be able to have the full benefit of water.
