Today is my 6 month post-RNY date. I'm close to 100lbs lost from my highest weight, and feeling joyful and thankful. I wanted to give a huge thanks to the smart and supportive people on this site who have been really helpful (and give good reality-checks). I would be much more lost and confused without all of you sharing your experiences (good and bad).

Top 5 best things that have happened to me in the last 6 months:

  • No more sleep apnea, and I don't have to use a CPAP machine anymore
  • PCOS hormones have regulated and I am back to a normal cycle
  • I'm able to walk, swim, do yoga, and run (slowly)!
  • I can shop in 'normal' stores for clothing
  • I feel more in control of my health, my life, and my body.

The past six months haven't been all sunshine and lollipops (ok, no lollipops actually), but besides a few snags I have been very happy with my decision. Onward and downward!
