Next week I get to advance to soft foods.  One of the first things I plan on having is refried beans with cheese on top.  What was the first food you had?

My first post-liquids meal was a scrambled egg, and it was delicious! I also loved mixing shredded chicken with refried beans, cheese, and hot sauce.

Yum yum, that sounds as good as the turkey and dressing.!  Of course the ounce or 2 you had was a specia treat!

Thanksgining 1994....Turkey and dressing, one tablespoon, mashed with a fork, to mush, one tasting spoon full at a time and chewed 20 times per bite. Very much anticipated after 4 weeks of high protein drinks...

I honestly don't remember.

This is probably going to get me blocked, but so be it.

You are focusing WAYYYYYY too much on food. Food you want to have, food you will have, food you can't have at the moment...past food, future food; food food food!!!

STOP already.

I woke up in between a memory and a dream...

Really, I'm sure there was no snark involved from the above post.  One of the hardest things we have to do is to retrain our minds from focusing totally on food.  For me, because I had the blessing of lack of hunger, it was simpler.  Some of us have it more difficult.

Look outward;  yes, your intake of protein is important.  But please do find something else to focus your mind.  A new hobby, or something to take your mind away from food.

Just do not read her posts if she irrates you but just keep in mind we all were newly PO at one time. Some people ask questions and others silently research on the internet. Some people just need a little more support.
