Self pay nightmare

Hello. I live in Nashville, Tenn and am trying to find funding for my daughter's surgery. Several loan companies have turned me down due to "insufficent income". What's a person with no insurance to do to pay for weight loss surgery? Any suggestions?

Go fund me, might be beneficial. I've heard that some mormons get it through their church. Can you sing? Can your daughter sing? Do you know of any places that will make a non binding agreement to exchange your physical labor, for some kind monetary reward? Do you have some old family heirloom? OBAMA? Good luck.

Certain states Obamacare has to cover WLS, unfortunately Tennessee is not one of them. All states cover WLS through Medicaid. Does she qualify for Medicaid? Although each state may have different criteria for qualification.

GoFundMe is usually for people in tragic situations like a house fire, or who need life-saving surgery and can't afford it.

Have you looked into going to Mexico to get the surgery done? It is far cheaper thus any loan would be a lot less. Also many of the companies that will help you with a surgery package offer loans. With no ins coverage Mexico was choice and it was a wonderful experience. Better care than I would have got in US.

i have insurance. but they refused to cover the surgery bc i was " too healthy" so i went to tijuana mexico to have it done. cost about 1/3 the price that it does here. i went through mexico bariatric center. they were amazing! if you have to be self pay i recommend this way. im not positive if they have a way to help you get a loan but the loan would be a lot less than if you had to self pay in the u.s.a. so may be easier getting a loan
