What's Your Biggest Struggle?
To get enough sodium in my diet post op...- the struggle is to get enough salt.. most days I don't and I have to remember to add salt to things like shakes or even coffee...

It took a significant amount of weight loss before I could even entertain the idea of exercise. I walk every day during my lunch hour and it's not only good for my body, but my mind to get the hell out of the office. During the summer I swim in our pool, but since it's not heated it's a very limited time frame that I can do it.
My surgeon suggests that post op WLS get 30 minutes of exercise and 30 minutes of activity each day. Activity includes doing laundry, washing your car, cleaning, etc. It's all about not sitting in front of the TV and turning into a vegetable.
Try walking, even just a little. I put on headphones and listen to music that I love. Getting into the routine is the hardest thing. And it's not about making the weight loss accelerate. It's a step in the right direction towards a healthy heart and body.

Restaurants are notorious for adding sodium to food. That's why it tastes so much better. Once you have surgery, you'll be eating so little that sodium intake doesn't become an issue.
But to answer your question, my biggest struggle is breaking bad habits, like wanting to eat at night and then falling into grazing. I can be vigilant all day, and the evenings prove challenging. I'm working on several different strategies to find outlets rather than eating, but it's not easy.

I wonder why we tend to graze at night. My night time food of choice is raw baby carrots. At least the carrots are healthy, and they are a great source for fiber.

I'm all about the carrots too. And dill pickles. That's when I'm being good. I fall off the wagon with nuts.

My struggles change, in the beginning i struggled with protein intake, around the 3month mark i struggled with activity/walking etc. and some depression.
My new and current struggle @ 7 month is sleep. I have always had a hard time falling asleep/staying asleep, and now my calves ache at bedtime so its even harder. :(
And I will always struggle with looking in the mirror until I get skin removal on my arms. They disgust me :/ I look so much skinnier but my arms ugh ruins everything
