Question for Patch users
Thanks everyone. I was especially worried they might go bad, and didn't want to buy too many.
I've been waiting, first, to see how others fared with these, and while it's still a small sample size and short time frame, I decided to give them a try. I have my major yearly physical on December 1, so was waiting for those labs to get drawn, so I'd have a good baseline.
I ordered six month's worth. We'll see how it goes.

The actual packaging inside, holding the patches, has an expiration date imprinted on it . . . . Purchased mine a month ago (3 months worth) and the pack I'm using presently says : EXP. 07.03.2018.
I had my blood work done on October 26th and it came back GREAT!!!! When I told my dietitian I was using the patch (back in August), she thought it wasn't a good idea . . . but my Physician did not express any concerns . . . .sooooooooo I continue to use them. My next blood work draw is in January :).
Additionally, I use both the multi-vitamin and the calcium/Vit d3 patches daily.

Thanks Valerie.
Do DSers do the patch differently? Wear more than one, or something? Or, because it's transdermal, you don't need extra?

That's a great question, and the answer is still in the works. Theoretically, because it is transdermal, it should be as effective for us as for anyone else. I've been doing them for around 9 mos and will be getting labs very soon. I take the standard multi and extra oral calcium to firm up stools (and it never hurts a gal to have some extra calcium).

And extra fats, for a nice shiny coat.
Please keep us posted. I'm interested in everyones's long term results. But if it is absorbed well by DSers, that's a big deal.

Does the fact that the calcium in the patch is carbonate cause any issues?

I just started my first box, mine have a 2018 expiration date. I only bought 3 months worth to start, if I'm happy at the end of my third month I plan to buy larger quantities.
Hi Grim,
I just ordered 3 months worth and it looks like the date has been extended for the discount.
These patches have helped me greatly and I now that I know they are working I keep a 6 months supply. As everyone else has said the expiration date is about 3 years. If you find your blood work comes back low on something I doubled up on the patches for a couple of months until it was normal again. Well...normal for us
