So Jealous
Boars Head lunchmeat is the best I have found. I usually get the sweet ham sliced thin and wrap a piece with Sargento Ultra thin Colby jack cheese and mini dill pickle. I will have two of those for lunch.
Rotisserie chicken or turkey are great choices. Also, tuna packets are good. I also eat beef jerky.
When I first started out I worked really hard to keep my carbs under or around 20 not easy, but it can be done.
I had noticed you said your protein was soy. Is that because you are allergic to whey?
oh boy, i love pickles...sounds awesome...that's my next purchase!! lunch meat, cheese and mini pickles wrapped together...awesome!!!
yes, i'm allergic to whey and most dairy. i can eat cheese but not too much. i have to be careful. I also have texture/smell issues with cottage cheese and yogurt. i've tried both post surgery and i'm getting nauseous just thinking about it. i have never liked any fish or seafood, but i've promised my husband i would try it post surgery since taste change..so we'll see. Right now i can't get past the smell. If i didn't know better i'd say i'm pregnant (not even a little possible) with all the smell issues i have.
thank you everyone for your support and suggestions.
i cannot wait to get the pickles, ham and cheese!!!
I'll do the rolls and throw them in the pan for a few to melt the cheese and ill dip them in mustard. I've also done roast beef wrapped around mozz in the pan and than put some brown gravy over the top.
One other thing crockpots are great. You can cook anything in them. I made my husband a meatloaf in it the other day when I was at the Equine Affaire so he would have dinner and not wait for me to get home late at night. He was in heaven. I made a veal stew in it over the weekend. So many different chicken things can be done in them.
I also invested in a Rosco set it and forget it rotisserie a few years back. I was making my own rotisserie chickens, prime ribs, chicken thighs, etc.. I loved it because all the grease and fat drip down to the bottom pan.
As for fish go with a mild white fish like tilapia or flounder. Small fillets and not much of a "fishy" taste or smell. Or you could try shrimp. I love seafood and fish during the Summer.
Have you tried greek yogurt?
i have a super awesome crock pot. What is wrong with me!! why didn't i think of that!!
i have tried greek yogurt post surgery and almost died (not really, just a saying).
i feel so renewed and hopeful now. i was so down in the dumps before about what i was eating. i didn't get good guidance from nutritionist but you guys have helped me so much. THANK YOU!!!!
Try the Dannon Fit & Light Greek yogurt. Caramel Apple is seasonal and I absolutely love it. 80 calories, 12g protein, 9g carbs. It's a daily thing for me.

Three pounds below Goal!!! Yay !
I did nothing special but add different spices mostly garlic because I'm a garlic *****
The chickens would either have garlic, fresh ground pepper, and Himalayan salt rubbed on them or I would throw some rosemary, salt, pepper on them.
There were a few that I injected with a Cajun sauce. The prime rib I made was encrusted with sea salt and injected with a garlic/butter mix.
As long as you cook it at the required heat and time anything you throw in it will come out great.
