What's the deal?
Ok, so I know its not only me....
I have lost almost 85 lb, and can see some changes. However, I still feel like the old, fat me! Yes, I know my clothing size has gone from a 24 to a 12/14. Yes, I know the scale has moved. And, yes I know that people around me have definitely noticed the weight loss. But, when I look in the mirror, I still say, "I need to fix this, lose that, tighten this, strengthen that". I feel like a nut basket, but I can't help it. I even look at old pictures and know there is a difference, but I still feel like I take up the same amount of space, I look the same, and am shaped the same. What can I do about this?

Google body dysmorphia
You can continue your weight loss, join a gym, hire a personal trainer, save for plastic surgery. You are at the beginning of your journey. You still need to lose the rest of the excess weight and you need to work on getting your body into the best condition that you can.
The surgery is a chance to get your body to where you are happy. It gives you to opportunity to start over on a level playing field with those who have never been obese. We have to work harder than others to get the body that we want, but we have the ability to do it.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
