What's Next?

Just curious....I have met all of the Pre-op requirements for surgery and have an appt with the surgeon(Christopher Eagon) on Nov 16th. Is this appt to schedule surgery, or are there other requirements that need to be met before sending all of the documented info to the insurance company for authorization?

I met with my surgeon before I started working on pre-op requirements.  Every practice is different.

This answer varies so greatly from one insurance provider to the next.  I recommend calling them directly and asking specifically what they require before submitting for approval.

I met with my surgeon before I started all the pre op requirements, then once the nutritionist and the pysch were done with me, I got a call from the office from insurance specialist stating everything had been submitted and approved so she caled with my date as well as my pre op date (my surgeon does his own pre op appointments). Pre op is Friday, and surgery is 11/23.

Every surgeon and insurance is different.  I met with my Surgeon 4 times before surgery. That was because I was such a chicken   He was very gracious and told me to come as many times as I needed to be sure and get all my questions answered.  He was the BEST!
