The first week post-op was really difficult for me. All I could think at the time was "what have I done???" Things turned around in the 2nd week and it gets easier. I'm almost one month post-op now and I can honestly say that I would do it again in a heartbeat. Even with the difficulties. If you weren't nervous about a major surgery and huge life change, I would be more concerned. Good luck to you!!!

I am 12 years out and have had issues that I blame on RNY but none are as annoying as not being able to keep weight off....my life is 100000000 x's better now.  I own a gym and love being in the shape I am in....and know for sure my life has been extended by years!  Work hard at staying healthy and I am sure you will be very happy

Yes. But I wouldn't trade alL the failed weight loss attempts either... they were important experiences for me to have.
