Go to protein?

Vitalady has sample packs so you can try a bunch without breaking the bank. I myself fall back on Jack Links beefsteaks, high in protein and delish, but I'm not sure what stage you're at. Always better to eat rather than drink your protein (after liquid phase lol)

Add a scoop of whey isolate to your premier shakes.

This is why I preach, and preach, and preach about getting the right kind of protein drink for post-op diets.  Everyone goes for cheap and easy and doesn't look at the KIND of protein.

We need to be drinking 100% whey protein isolate - it's what our bodies can absorb quickly and use efficiently at this point.  Don't fool yourself thinking that every protein shake is the same -- they are not.

I use Unjury Chocolate Splendor but any 100% whey protein isolate will work.  Read your labels - anything that is a "concentrate" or "blend" of other protein sources (like collagen) is a waste of your money.  100% whey protein isolate will cost more - but it's worth it!  This is your health we're talking about.

If you haven't tried Unjury you can go to unjury.com and order samples.  You can only get them online.  It's DELICIOUS -- and I hated all other protein drinks that I tried, including Premier Protein.  I gagged on that crap so if you can tolerate it you can tolerate Unjury.

Yes, I wish the nutritionist would have told me about the isolate thing before hand. I'll look into the unjury brand!

Try double protein milk. I used it in the old days and maybe it will help. Here is a link to a thread that was talking about it.

Thanks for posting this. Premier has always been one of my go to proteins. I never knew I needed Isolate  but this makes sense of why my protein levels were looking low. Thanks for the informative post.

Use plain hydrolized whey isolate powder, mix it into sugar free jello, and make protein jigglers. They go down easy and are readily accessible and don't add carbs.

I still do this from time to time. Especially when I am making hot chocolate....

Good Luck
