NSVs - They Are Finally Happening
This last week I finally began having NSVs! I am pre-surgery, haven't really thought too much about having NSVs in this stage of my journey. But, even having only lost 25.5lbs, so far, I'm having NSVs.
Victories I have noticed:
- I didn't have to tilt the heavy iron chair (at the kitchen table) forward to get to the window to close the window blind.
- I can comfortably (and safely) drive the Jeep, even turning corners. The steering wheel is no longer buried into my belly.
- My favorite everyday and work clothes are hanging on me.
- I am now hooking my bra in the middle set of eyelets, instead of the one's at the very end.
- I put on and wore the next smaller size (22) of pants that had been collecting dust in my closet. They fit, and are also somewhat baggy! I could go closet diving for a size 20 pants but I don't want to be disappointed if it doesn't fit, so I will wait.
- My 3x tops are too big. I put on a 2x, it fits even on my fat and saggy upper arms!
- I can pull my foot up to my opposite knee to tie my tennis shoes.
- I no longer get winded from stairs (I go up & down stairs all day long as part of my job).

Go find those size 20 pants and try them on! Stop worrying about being disappointed and give it a try!
Those are great NSVs! Living in a 2-story home I appreciate being able to go up and down the stairs without getting winded.
