I dont really eat many protein bars - but I did want to say I agree wholeheartedly re the "upgrade".

The no indent - spacing etc makes it difficult to position your post for easy reading.

Makes me loose interest in OH- at least in responding

Thanks so much for doing this experiment and posting the results, Grim! I think I'm going to try Quest bars again. They definitely help me with post-workout recovery. I prefer them to the sucralose-filled recovery drinks that the muscle heads push on us.

They can be pretty handy for something like that.

It strikes me as funny when people think we need to "fuel up" before or after going to the gym, as if we were teaining for the Olympic decathlon. We really don't. It's just a little exercise, and we don't need an excuse for all those extea calories. Our grandmothers worked harder around the house than most people do at the gym.

You are right about that! I try to eat my regular dinner within 30-45 minutes after I get home from the gym, that usually takes care of any "refueling" I may need. But sometimes it's handy to have the protein bar on hand.

This is really interesting info, Grim. Thanks for being a guinea pig and testing them out. I know what a traumatic experience it is to eat Quest bars
