Energy Drinks

I love me some strong blac****d tea! Mio energy is great and helps get in your fluids! 5 hour energy tastes awful but does the job.

My dietician told me to stay off caffeine for 4 months post op, partially because of the diuretic properties, but also because it stimulates a hunger feeling because stomach avid reacts to it. I have definitely cheated on my caffeine rule starting at my 2 month mark. I have a cup of coffee with protein shake mixed in instead of creamer every morning. I also have a bit of iced tea once in a while. I haven't noticed any increase in acid, and I make sure to drink at least 80 oz of water a day.

Anyone taking iron supplements should not use caffeine within two hours. Caffeine disrupts absorption of iron.

I am guilty of MAJOR caffeine dependence as I have suffered from chronic fatigue my whole life. I have been know to have 3 extra strength 5 hour shots a day and still struggle to stay awake. And believe it or not, my pulse runs in high 50's to low 70's even with all that caffeine.
