I was finally approved for a medical loan

After many sleepless nights filled with worry and wonder, I finally got the call today, the medical loan has been approved. I am having VSG surgery with A Lighter Me. I'm booking my flight for Thanksgiving day and surgery will be the 27th with Dr. Jose Luis Curiel Marchena in Tijuana, Mexico. I'm so relieved. It's finally happening after nearly a year of jumping through insurance hoops only to be told the surgery I want isn't covered by my new insurance, No more hoops, only loan payments.

Congratulations on the approval and your decision to do this even if your insurance wouldn't pay. I made the same decision and am not regretting the trip to Mexico one little bit. You will always remember this Thanksgiving Holiday!

Congrats on your decision. I did not use that particular doctor, although I have heard good things about him. I did, however, have my surgery in Mexico. Good luck to you!

Make sure you have a follow-up doctor here in the states that have no issues with you having the surgery out of the country. Believe it or not many don't like to take on another surgeon's patient.
