When did you start dating post-op?

I'm only three months post-op, but I've lost quite a bit of weight. I was contemplating dating once more. I'm 38 and was divorced a few years back. I was wondering when you guys started dating again after surgery. Did you wait for your ideal weight?

I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!

I did. It was important to me and my self esteem.

I also was app 10 months post op so I could enjoy simple dinners, coffee, etc... Without having to explain myself why I am not eating enough... By the time I was close to my goal, on a normal -skinny side, my small portion looked like a normal skinny girl portion..

How exciting for you. I say go ahead and do it if you're ready. Be careful of meals out, maybe stick to foods you know agree with you, so there aren't any embarrassing runs to the bathroom. Have fun!

I think I might wait a bit. If you still weigh over 300, you may fall for a guy who likes bigger woman. I wouldn't want to worry that the new beau wouldn't like me smaller and I wouldn't want to stop my weight loss for someone else.
