What should I expect after Gastric Bypass?

You know everyone is different...  but be mentally prepared for a few weeks of WTH did I do... it's not constant but like any big change in life (marriage, divorce, death, moves, etc.) there is a period of adjustment... and with this adjustment you have pain meds, anesthesia, hormonal adjustments, sugar high/lows, shock of changes, and no one truly gets it if they haven't been through it... so Mom will and we will but not everyone... so cut them and you some slack for a bit ;)

New way of eating is phased in and at every stage it takes some adjusting. Try and focus in on changing your life versus #'s on a scale or dress size because ultimately there is no finish line and you have to create a life you can live with FOREVER, not just get through.

It was truly the best gift I ever gave myself... and at about the 4 month mark I would have done it all over again even the bad days to feel the way I was feeling. I hope you will feel the same.

Best wishes!! ~Shelly
