LBL and butt augmentation

after having my RNY surgery in 2013 i happily lost 120 pounds...thankfully. My surgery was a success and my surgeon was wonderful! Thee was pain but not unbearable.

In 2015 I decided to have a tummy tuck due to saving skin from losing so much weight and the four c sections I had as a hunger woman. Upon the consultation with a double board certified PS; I did my home work, I was told that I was a better candidate for the LBL and it was recommended that I augment my butt...after looking in the full-length mirror...I had to agree.

I had the surgery which lasted 6 hours...and I felt Ok when I came out of it...THEN I hit the wall!! I stayed one night in the hospital...but honestly felt I could have stayed three, or more.

When I got home the pain became unbearable...the amount of string pain medicine wasn't enough and my husband wasn't enough support...I wush I would have hired a nurse to help me.

My PS was there for me every step of the way, him and his staff were very caring but even so...I felt quite alone in my pain at home; my husband went right back to work and I had no one to help me on a daily basis; my wonderful daughter did though stop by as often as she could and was and is my greatest support!!

I am 10 weeks out now and I can see the flat tummy and my gorgeous behind...I can wear a size 12 junior Jean shorts comfortably, although im still swollen, I see a size 8 in my near future which does put a smile on my face. I have no more jelly roll and it's nice to be able to tuck in a shirt and walk on the beach without feeling like I need to hide; I canot put a price on that not even express that kind of freedom.

The reason I am writing this is because it IS quite PAINFUL to have the LBL done with the butt augmentation at the same time...it was probably the most painful experience of my life...I know everyone has different experiences and different pain tolerances...this is my experience...and I feel that the pain is sometimes sugar-coated by many, Drs and patients alike.

Nothing worth having is ever truly easy...in most cases, and this is an extreme example of that.

In considering this surgery...do your homework - find a highly qualified, experienced, American Board Certified PS who truly cares about you, who is honest and upfront. Know there is pain involved and weigh it out...is it worth it to You?
