Post Surgical Complications

I had laproscopic Roux N Y surgery in 2003.  I had great success with the surgery, almost too good.  I lost 100 lbs between April and October! I had a total weight loss of 180 lbs.  Doctor recommended that I put 50 of that back on and maintain.  I maintained for 5 years, until my son.  I have now gained about another 60 lbs.  Over the years, I have occasionally had food "get stuck" and had to force myself to throw up.  The last few months, I have this nearly every time I eat.  I am wondering if anyone has had something similar to this.  I am not able to keep any food down at all.

Thanks for the advice!

I think you need to see your surgeon-- when was the last time you saw him/her?

See your surgeon immediately.  There is really nothing anyone here can do for you even if they have had the exact same experience.  "I am not able to keep any food down at all" - seems like a medical emergency situation to me.

I wish all the best to you.  Please get medical care.

A friend of mine had a similar thing happen and it ended up being that the entrance to the stomach was closing up and food/liquids weren't able to get through causing the vomiting. I would see your surgeon as soon as you can. Of course it could be many things, but I wouldn't risk it.
