need info on sugery

Hello im kelli, l have recently madr the decision to consider weight loss surgery. I am 24, 5'7 and 250. Ive struggled with my weight my whole life. I would appreciate any tips or things i should keep in mind. my mother passed away shortly after getting the gastric bypass because she had various complications. I dont want that exact kind of surgery but I know I need help. Obesity runs in my family. Ive tried so hard to lose weight on my own. The only way I was ever able to lose weight was to starve myself, so I know that I need help to live a healthy life.
