My vitamins (Flintstones) are running low and was going to get some this week. Now after reading the article I think I should look at something else... What kind do you use?

I know that a lot of the vets use a generic centrum brand -- and are very successful with them.  You just need a complete vitamin and usually double it -- go by the recommendations of the ABMBS.  However, for me, I know that chewables have helped me to be compliant.  Do I need chewables?  Of course not.  However, I actually look forward to my "treat" and thus -- I have NEVER missed my vitamins, calcium or iron.  I use Celebrate --- I really like them.  They are a bit more expensive, but my labs are wonderful (which they'd probably be with cheaper/non-bariatric/non-chewable, too) and I credit that with compliance.

I have Trader Joe's High Potency Chewable.  Just realized I hadn't taken one today - so thanks for the reminder!

If I was a Rockefeller, Celebrate would be the brand I would use. Very yummy. I used them for 6 months after surgery. They started cutting into my hooker money though.

Well, to be fair, I am embarrassed to admit that I qualified for their financial assistance program.  Therefore, my monthly outgo for them is just slightly higher than they would be for other vitamins... and I figure, since my "drive-thru-and-order-from-a-clown's-mouth-three-times-a-day" budget is gone, I can afford fancy-schmancy vitamins.  LOL

Yeah, whenever I see someone complaining about spending money on vitamins, I smack my head. Before surgery, I spent more on Little Debbie alone than I could ever spend on vitamins.

I thought Little Debbie loved me as much as I loved her. But the little trollop was just after my money.
