That one sticks in my craw as well. Why do the words fat and stupid ( or the alternative, fat and ugly)go together in people's minds? It's not peanut butter and jelly, or cake and strippers.

People who have manners and money would never be so rude.  So take comfort that they are poor and have no self worth.  If they did, they would not have to belittle someone else in order to puff up themself.  So...you have more self-worth than they do.

Take pride in your accomplishments, keep moving forward. There will always be something that our brains can use to sabatoge us with, some may be real and some may be negative thoughts. Keep aiming high for the future.

To quote the Countess, "Money can't buy you class."  Rich or poor, ******** come in all socio-economic categories.  To assume they are poor is an insult to poor people who don't harbor the same stereotypes that you buy into.

To the OP, remember that living well is the best revenge.  Keep doing what you're doing and don't let the idiocy of others hurt you.

I am so sorry that happened to you.  I'm sure at one point or another we have all felt the sting of someone's cruelty.  You didn't deserve it and I can understand how hurtful it was.  The bright side is that this gives you a great opportunity. Take a deep breath, think about how far you have come and look at the big picture of where you are heading on this journey. Be proud of yourself, hold your head up high and do not allow someone else to eat away at your self confidence.

My mother once told me, "When someone talks negatively about you, you need to ignore it. Their opinion of you isn't any of your business."

When you decide that their words can not hurt you and you believe in your own self worth you will be truly empowered.  And that will be the greatest NSV.

I'm proud of you and hope you get your high back...fast!!

those idiots CANNOT have the power to hurt you ANYMORE!!!  you have come too far in your journey to allow that. you are healthier, you are feeling GREAT about YOUR success, these "women" dont have a clue about life, and i bet they are not REAL friends to ANYBODY. they are not happy with themselves. dont let their opinions matter to you. ESPECIALLY if you dont know them. they should mean NOTHING to you.

Sending lots of hugs!  What pathetic idiots!  It's hard to get past things like this sometimes, but you truly ARE a winner.  Look at how much you have accomplished and focus on all the wonderful qualities you know, deep down, that you possess. I'll come to HI and beat them up for ya! :)

Don't give anyone power over you or your happiness. Be proud of who you are and what you have done to improve your health. Have a quick cry. Nothing wrong with that. But wipe your eyes and put a smile on your face the people in your life that love and care for you are where your focus should be. We can not control how the world will treat us but we can control how we will let it control us. I had a car full of teenagers throw a slushy drink at me on the sidewalk and I was humiliated and embarrassed. I do understand how you feel not trying to down play your feelings. Enjoy your life and smile....it is contagious!!! Laura

Don't give someone the power to hurt you.  I'm trying to learn in life, you cannot control the bad behaviors of others, but you can control your reactions.  People can be rude, mean, and downright horrible.  But you are succeeding, don't allow them to let you make you feel bad about yourself.  I'm so sorry you had to go through that.
