I have been saving up my NSVs for a while.  I know I should be posting them, but I worry about jinxing myself (side effect of being heavy for so long I guess).  So stand back .... here comes the Brag Train 😉.

 1. I went from a size 22 to a size 16.  2. The 16s are starting to get loose now.  3. My BMI went from 41.4 to 28.1, which means I'm just overweight now, not morbidly obese!!!!  My husband laughed when I gleefully announced that I was "just overweight."  He said it sounded funny to be so happy about being overweight.  He's right, but it feels great.  4. My health is better.  I have a cold right now and before my surgery it would linger on and on and eventually turn into pneumonia because of my severe asthma.  Now, I'm almost over it in 4 days.  I'm not coughing up a lung or on steroids just to survive.  My PCOS is better in that I don't have debilitating menstrual cramps anymore.  I still get cramps, but they have gone from 9 & 10s to 4 and below.  My periods are a little more regular.  I'm not as fatigued as before.  I'm learning to love my body and myself.  I'm starting to stand up for myself and sometimes say no to things.  I feel a renewed sense of hope.

So here's the tldr version of the story, the choice and journey to wls is hard, sometimes really really really hard, but it is 100% worth it.  If you apply yourself to following the rules (even when they seem dumb or hard or impossible, your life can and will change dramatically for the better.  Like any health decision, do this for YOU!  You are worth it!

Brag away, you DESERVE it!!  Congrats on all the NSVs!  Isn't it funny how "normal" people would think we are funny by being so ecstatic about being overwieght. LOL  The joys of this rollercoster are AMAZING!  May you have many, many more NSVs to come!

Congratulations on your pile of NSVs.  I never thought about the length of sickness being shorter.  I'll keep an eye on that.  I have asthma, had all my allergy shots and still have to go on steriods for allergies and complications.  I've had pneunomia 2 times as a complication of the flu.  Hope I get as lucky as you.
