Is there a way to turn off the spelling "corrector" when posting ?

I HATE posting something and find it makes no sense because a stoopid spelling " corrector" altered my words.  I shouldn't have to proofread after the " corrector" !! Can it be turned off permanently for my account?  Please post how to .. thanks 

I don't have any kind of spelling "corrector." Maybe it's a setting on your computer?

Or maybe it's standard and I just don't have it?

I have a mac... anything is possible .. somebody please HELP .  I'm so envious of you ... I text in other  languages too and then i have to alter and re-alter and then again correct literally EVERY word ..I go NUTS .  Same thing on my  iphone

I have macs and apples. Go to main display. Open settings...scroll down to General...over to "keyboard".

then flip the switch for "auto-correct" to OFF.

i know how frustrating it is. Turn off auto correct and at least you can take full responsibilites for what you say.
