It's been 3 1/2 months (May 18th); no major hair loss yet. Did I dodge a bullet?
Nope, mine didn't start until well into month four.

I still have most of my hair. It did start to thin just a bit when I hit 50.

I am very fortunate. I did not lose any hair and my hair is back thick like it was when I was young....I even have curls and never had curls before. I was prepared to lose it because I did when I had an emergency hysterectomy. I contribute it to I have kept my protein really high and kept up my vitamins
You may never get "major shedding", but you aren't out of the woods yet. Many (most?) people don't really start to notice the hair loss until 3.5-4 months out. I didn't notice mine start until the 4 month mark (and, unfortunately, I lost fully half of my hair.)
Based on what I have read here and the people I know IRL, I wouldn't say you're "safe" until you hit 5 months out.
