ERNY
ERNY is Extended RNY, aka Distal RNY. It's an RNY with a longer bypass of the intestine (usually around 100cm). The pouch is the same as a standard RNY. The challenge is that you still live by pouch rules, but fight harder for nutrition, especially fats since the body malabsorbs more of them (but the pouch may cause you to dump if you're unlucky like that). For many, they say it's the "worst" of both worlds.
If you have a lot to lose, I highly recommend the DS over ERNY
